HOW TO MEASURE AND INSTALL YOUR CABLE FENCE & BALUSTRADE SYSTEM

For easy instructions on measuring or setting up your project, follow our simple ‘How To’ measuring and installation guides below.

General measuring information

  • External post height is usually 1.1m
  • Internal post height is usually 900mm
  • 100mm between cable runs
    Therefore;
  • On a horizontal span with posts 1.1m there will be 10 cable runs required.
  • Through collar kits are needed every 3 metres to ensure tension.
  • On vertical posts 900mm high there will be 9 cable runs per metre.

Vertical information

  • Each run requires right hand and left hand fixing post screws.
  • Measure the height required between the bottom and top railings.
  • Times this by how many cables runs are required.

  • Post inserts (sold in pairs) cover the drilled holes for aesthetics purposes
  • If you have no access to one side of the post, fixing posts screws are required to screw into the wall or baton
